Below is a photo of a Stork-billed kingfisher (Pelargopsis capensis) that I spotted about 3 weeks ago in Balik Pulau. It was the last photo I took with my 150-500mm lens before it died on me (the lens, not the bird). Unfortunately, I'm currently without the means to take any new photos. The supplier have said that I should get it back in 2 weeks, but I have little trust in that promise.
I will also take this opportunity to say that I shall be leaving Penang in a few months to take up a new post in Kathmandu, Nepal. That means that from July there won't be any new updates to the site. I will of course leave the site online and I hope that it will be of use and interest to people interested in Penang's wildlife, now and in the future.
